The first meeting of the General Council for 2026 is held

The General Council of the Muslim Community of Albania held on Saturday the first meeting for 2026, in the premises of the Tirana Madrasa.

The meeting opened with the reading of some verses from the Holy Quran by the Mufti of Tirana, Mr. Gazment Teqja, to continue with the opening speech of the Chairman of the General Council, Mr. Islam Hoxha, who welcomed the members and introduced them to the agenda.

Then, the President of the Muslim Community of Albania, H. Bujar Spahiu, spoke, who thanked the members for their commitment and contribution, as well as made a summary of some of the main points that every representative of the institution should keep in mind when communicating with believers and in public, emphasizing the importance of ethics, responsibility and communication correct Islamic message.

Next, the report of the Presidency of the General Council was presented by Mr. Islam Hoxha, where the main developments in the religious and administrative aspect were discussed.

KMSH Chancellor, Mr. Fejzi Shaholli then presented a detailed report on the activity of the President, the activity of the directorates and the decisions of the presidency between the two meetings.

Furthermore, the Director of Finance, Mr. Edison Hoti, presented to the members the audit conducted by an external expert in several muftis, highlighting the main points of this audit and suggestions for improvement.

Then, the director of Public and Media Relations, Mr. Ejup Lila, presented some of the latest developments of the institution's online activity, such as the official KMSH application (search for "KMSH" in the App Store and Play Store), the new website kmsh.al, the system of prayer times namaz.kmsh.al, Chrome Extension (Quran & Adhan Time) and Meta Portfolio, all with the aim of being as close as possible and at the service of the faithful.

The meeting was closed with discussions by members of the General Council on issues and suggestions aimed at strengthening and further institutional improvement.
