The Chairman of the MCA holds a discussion with students of the Faculty of History and Philology

The Chairman of the MCA, H. Bujar Spahiu, welcomed today at the institution’s headquarters a group of bachelor’s and master’s students from the Faculty of History and Philology at the University of Tirana.

The students’ visit took place within the framework of the Summer School academic program entitled “Tirana, the European Icon of Religious Harmony.”

In his remarks, Chairman Spahiu shared with the students a brief overview of the history and mission of the MCA, emphasizing the institution’s contribution to preserving and promoting interfaith harmony as one of the most representative values of Albanian society. He also highlighted the role of faith in the moral and civic formation of individuals.

The students also showed particular interest during the discussion with the Chairman, addressing various questions on religious, historical, and informative topics. The discussions focused on issues related to the Islamic perspective on different life situations, as well as the Albanian tradition of coexistence and interfaith harmony. In an open and friendly atmosphere, other topics of interest to the students were also addressed, with participants expressing great curiosity and engagement throughout the meeting.

The meeting then continued in the form of an open discussion between the students, the Director of Culture at the MCA, Mr. Dorian Demetja, and the Director of Education, Mr. Elton Karaj.

During this visit, the students were accompanied by Prof. Dr. As. Esmiralda Koloneci, Prof. As. Dr. Meljana Bregu, and Prof. As. Dr. Juliana Gjinko.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the students’ agenda continued with a visit to the Namazgja Mosque, where they were welcomed by the Mufti of Tirana, Mr. Gazment Teqja, who introduced them to the facilities and the multidimensional function of the mosque, which has now become one of the most visited sites by foreign tourists in the capital.
