The headship of KMSH conducts a working meeting with the Muftiate of Tirana

The Chairman of the Muslim Community of Albania, H. Bujar Spahiu, together with other members of the Presidency, held a working meeting with the Mufti of Tirana, where he was received by the Mufti, Mr. Gazment Teqja, the administrator and imams of the mufti.
This evening started with the reading of some verses from the Koran by the hafiz Eduart Shtrezi, to continue with the opening speech of Mufti Teqja, who welcomed the attendees and briefly introduced them to the order of this meeting.
Further, the President of the Muslim Community of Albania, H. Bujar, spoke. Spahiu, who emphasized the need for the strengthening and revitalization of basic religious institutions, focusing especially on the importance of zakat and sadaqah al-fitr, as well as on the consolidation of the membership process. He also appreciated the role of religious courses in the education of young generations and underlined the responsibility for a clear, measured and contemporary transmission of the Islamic message.
While the Vice President of the Institution, Mr. Lauren Luli, focused on the progress of religious activities in the mosque, as well as the organization of Hajj and Umrah, calling for deeper cooperation in these aspects.
This evening continued with the speech of the Director of Finance at KMSH, Mr. Edison Hoti, who focused on diversifying financial resources and building a work calendar for awareness campaigns, with the aim of increasing awareness and community involvement.
While the Director of Human Resources and Cabinet, Mr. Aurel Çani briefly spoke about the institution's latest publication, entitled: "The voice from the pulpit, the register of the names of 1732 Albanian clerics, 1990-2025", calling on those present to participate in the promotional event of this publication, which will take place on April 22.
Further, the Mufti of Tirana, Mr. Gazment Teqja, who presented a report on the month of Ramadan that we left behind, highlighting achievements and challenges. He also focused on the study of the capital's needs for mosques and the online projects that have already been made available to the faithful.
The meeting continued in the form of an open discussion with imams on various aspects of their daily work, as well as on suggestions focused on improving the infrastructure and general conditions of the call to Islam.
