Muslim believers across the country celebrated Eid al-Adha from the early hours of the morning, one of the most important and meaningful holidays of the Islamic calendar, embodying the values of faith, sacrifice, solidarity, and devotion to God.

The central Eid prayer ceremony was held on “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard in Tirana, where thousands of believers gathered to take part in this important religious event. A similar atmosphere was reflected in other cities across the country, where main squares and mosques were filled with worshippers participating in the traditional rituals of this blessed occasion.

The Eid al-Adha program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Hafiz Enes Hyka.

Following this, the Chairman of the MCA, H. Bujar Spahiu, delivered his message to the believers and the wider public, calling for greater care and attention toward those in need, the elderly, orphans, and all those facing social or economic hardships.

“Today, as our families gather around the Eid table, let us not forget those who do not have a full table. Let us not forget the elderly who await a phone call, a knock on the door, or an embrace. Let us not forget families in need, orphans, people facing economic difficulties, loneliness, or illness. The value of this holiday is not measured by what we have on our tables, but by what we carry in our hearts,” he emphasized.

In conclusion, he expressed his hope that Eid al-Adha would serve as a moment of reflection, reconciliation, and closeness among people, while also offering prayers for peace, prosperity, and goodness for all believers, along with special greetings for the Albanian pilgrims in the holy cities.

“May this holiday be a moment of reconciliation within our families. A moment of bringing people closer together. A moment of reflection to become more just, honest, and compassionate. We pray to Allah to accept our worship, prayers, and sacrifices. We pray to Allah to bring peace to our hearts, our families, and the entire world. A special greeting also goes to all Albanian pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah. May Allah accept their Hajj, prayers, and acts of worship, and return them safely to their families,” he concluded.

The ceremony continued with a lecture delivered by the Vice Chairman of the MCA, Mr. Taulant Bica, who reflected on the profound spiritual message of this holiday. He emphasized that the story of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and Ismail (peace be upon them) is not merely a historical event, but a timeless example of faith, obedience, and sacrifice for the sake of God. He underlined that the true meaning of sacrifice goes beyond the material aspect, inviting believers to “sacrifice” their negative traits and weaknesses, such as selfishness, materialism, pride, hatred, and injustice.

He also raised concern regarding the tragic events that have affected Albanian society in recent times, mentioning cases of suicide, traffic accidents, and incidents involving children and young people. In this context, Vice Chairman Bica stressed the need for greater responsibility at all levels of society, institutionally as well as morally and civically. He noted that life is sacred and a divine trust that must be protected and respected, calling for greater awareness, care, and commitment to safeguarding the dignity and well-being of every individual.

The program culminated with the Eid al-Adha prayer, led before the thousands of believers gathered on the boulevard by the Chairman of the MCA, H. Bujar Spahiu.

Following the prayer, the Eid sermon was delivered by the Mufti of Tirana, Mr. Gazment Teqja, who focused on the social and human dimensions of this great celebration.

Highlighting the importance of caring for family members, relatives, neighbors, and especially those facing difficulties, Mufti Teqja stressed that the greatness of this holiday lies not only in celebration, but above all in spiritual reflection and the willingness to extend a helping hand to others. He called for overcoming disputes, anger, and resentments, emphasizing that the true message of Eid is realized when its spirit is translated into concrete acts of kindness that soften hearts and strengthen harmony within society.

At the conclusion of the program, the large number of believers gathered on this occasion exchanged heartfelt greetings on this day filled with peace, love, solidarity, and sacrifice.

The MCA wishes all Albanians, wherever they live and work: Eid al-Adha Mubarak!

احتفل المسلمون في مختلف أنحاء البلاد، منذ الساعات الأولى من صباح اليوم، بعيد الأضحى المبارك، أحد أهم وأعظم الأعياد في التقويم الإسلامي، والذي يجسد قيم الإيمان والتضحية والتكافل والإخلاص لله تعالى.

وأُقيمت مراسم صلاة العيد المركزية في شارع «شهداء الأمة» بالعاصمة تيرانا، حيث تجمع آلاف المصلين للمشاركة في هذه المناسبة الدينية العظيمة. وشهدت مختلف مدن البلاد أجواء مماثلة، إذ امتلأت الساحات والمساجد الرئيسية بالمؤمنين الذين شاركوا في الشعائر التقليدية لهذه المناسبة المباركة.

واستُهل برنامج عيد الأضحى المبارك بتلاوة آيات من القرآن الكريم بصوت الحافظ أنس هيكا.

وفي كلمته، وجّه رئيس المشيخة الإسلامية الألبانية بويار سباهيو رسالة إلى المؤمنين والرأي العام، دعا فيها إلى مزيد من الاهتمام بالفئات المحتاجة وكبار السن والأيتام وكل من يواجهون صعوبات اجتماعية أو اقتصادية.

وقال: «اليوم، بينما تجتمع عائلاتنا حول مائدة العيد، يجب ألا ننسى أولئك الذين لا يملكون مائدة مكتملة. وألا ننسى كبار السن الذين ينتظرون مكالمة هاتفية أو طرقة باب أو عناقاً دافئاً. وألا ننسى العائلات المحتاجة، والأيتام، والأشخاص الذين يعانون من ضائقة اقتصادية أو وحدة أو مرض. إن قيمة هذا العيد لا تُقاس بما يوجد على موائدنا، بل بما نحمله في قلوبنا».

وفي ختام كلمته، أعرب عن أمله في أن يكون عيد الأضحى مناسبة للتأمل والتسامح والتقارب بين الناس، كما دعا الله أن يعم السلام والخير والبركة على الجميع، وخصّ بالدعاء الحجاج الألبان الموجودين في الأراضي المقدسة.

وأضاف: «ليكن هذا العيد مناسبة للمصالحة داخل عائلاتنا، وللتقارب بين الناس، وللتأمل كي نصبح أكثر عدلاً وصدقاً ورحمة. نسأل الله أن يتقبل عباداتنا ودعاءنا وأضحياتنا، وأن ينزل السلام على قلوبنا وعائلاتنا والعالم أجمع. كما نوجه تهنئة خاصة إلى جميع الحجاج الألبان الموجودين في مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة، سائلين الله أن يتقبل حجهم وعباداتهم وأن يعيدهم سالمين إلى أهلهم».

وتواصلت مراسم الاحتفال بمحاضرة ألقاها نائب رئيس المشيخة الإسلامية الألبانية السيد تاولانت بيكا، تناول فيها المعاني الروحية العميقة لهذا العيد، مؤكداً أن قصة النبي إبراهيم وابنه إسماعيل عليهما السلام ليست مجرد حدث تاريخي، بل نموذج خالد للإيمان والطاعة والتضحية في سبيل الله. كما أوضح أن المعنى الحقيقي للأضحية يتجاوز الجانب المادي، داعياً المؤمنين إلى “التضحية” بصفاتهم السلبية ونقاط ضعفهم، مثل الأنانية والمادية والكِبر والكراهية والظلم.

كما عبّر عن قلقه إزاء الأحداث المؤلمة التي شهدها المجتمع الألباني مؤخراً، مشيراً إلى حالات الانتحار وحوادث السير والحوادث التي طالت الأطفال والشباب. وفي هذا السياق، شدد نائب الرئيس على ضرورة التحلي بمزيد من المسؤولية على مختلف المستويات، سواء المؤسسية أو الأخلاقية أو المجتمعية. وأكد أن الحياة مقدسة وأمانة إلهية يجب صونها واحترامها، داعياً إلى مزيد من الوعي والاهتمام والعمل لحماية كرامة الإنسان ورفاهيته.

وتُوج البرنامج بأداء صلاة عيد الأضحى المبارك، حيث أمّ آلاف المصلين المجتمعين في الشارع رئيس المشيخة الإسلامية الألبانية بويار سباهيو.

وعقب انتهاء الصلاة، ألقى مفتي تيرانا السيد غازمنت تيقيا خطبة العيد، حيث تناول البعد الاجتماعي والإنساني لهذه المناسبة العظيمة.

وأكد على أهمية رعاية الأسرة والأقارب والجيران، وخاصة الأشخاص الذين يواجهون صعوبات، مشيراً إلى أن عظمة هذا العيد لا تكمن فقط في مظاهر الاحتفال، بل في التأمل الروحي والاستعداد لمد يد العون للآخرين. كما دعا إلى تجاوز الخلافات والغضب والضغائن، موضحاً أن الرسالة الحقيقية للعيد تتحقق عندما تتحول روحه إلى أعمال ملموسة من الخير والإحسان، تسهم في تهذيب النفوس وتعزيز الانسجام داخل المجتمع.

وفي ختام البرنامج، تبادل آلاف المؤمنين المجتمعين بهذه المناسبة أصدق التهاني والتبريكات في يوم امتلأ بالسلام والمحبة والتكافل والتضحية.

وتتقدم المشيخة الإسلامية الألبانية بأحر التهاني لجميع الألبان أينما كانوا: عيد أضحى مبارك!
